“I believe that every person deserves a chance at compassion, hope and justice.”

Before pursuing her law degree, Alice put her MDiv degree to good use in Vancouver, British Columbia, by volunteering for the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church and the Harvest Project, which provides resources to economically disadvantaged families, and interning as a hospital chaplain.

After 12 years in Vancouver, she moved to North Carolina and pursued her law degree at UNC Chapel Hill. She served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and volunteered for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).

Alice is a dual Canadian/American citizen and understands what it means to be a foreigner in a strange land. She was born in Los Angeles, grew up in a Taiwanese culture, lived in Saudi Arabia during her childhood, and immigrated to Canada. She also knows that the legal world can seem like a foreign place to individuals in need and wants to serve as a bridge for compassion, hope and justice in the legal world by counseling and advocating for people in estate planning and administration matters, workers’ compensation, and immigration.

In her free time, Alice enjoys pouring wine at her husband’s wine store, cycling, and sharing a meal with good friends.
